Who we are
This site, dacitebrands.com, is operated by DACITE Holdings LLC, an Indiana limited liability company that does business as DACITE ("DACITE," "we," "us"). DACITE is an independent brand and intellectual-property company. We are responsible for the personal information described here. What this policy covers
It covers this site, the information you give us when you contact us or work with us, and the social media channels DACITE operates and connects to its systems. Portfolio brands, including Corgi Outfitters, Lost State, We Mouse and Fat Head Outdoors, may run their own sites, stores and channels with their own privacy notices. Those notices govern there.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you use the contact form or email us: your name, email address, company, the topic you choose, your message, and anything else you decide to include. Please don't send sensitive information such as government identifiers, financial account numbers or health details. We don't need it to answer an inquiry.
Information collected automatically
Our host, Netlify, logs standard request data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, referring page and timestamps, to deliver and secure the site. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 also collects pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser details, and how you arrived and moved through the site. Information from social channels
We connect DACITE-operated social media accounts to our systems through each platform's official tools. When we do, we receive what the platform makes available to the account owner: public profile details of people who follow, comment on, message or tag our accounts (such as display name, handle and profile picture), the content of their comments and messages, and engagement figures. We use it to read and reply to the people who contact us, to publish and schedule our own posts, and to see what is working. We store the access credentials that let our systems act for the connected account, encrypted, and use them only for that account.
Information from partners and public sources
If we are in touch about a partnership, acquisition or licensing conversation, we may add publicly available business information, such as your company's website and role, to our records.
Accounts
The public site has no user accounts. DACITE runs internal systems for authorised team members, contractors and partners. Account and activity data for those people is handled under their agreement with us.
How we use it
- To read and answer your inquiry, and to keep a record of the conversation in our customer-relationship system.
- To evaluate and carry on partnership, creative, licensing or acquisition conversations.
- To run, publish to, and respond through our social channels.
- To keep the site and our systems secure, stable and accessible.
- To meet legal, tax and recordkeeping obligations.
- With your consent, to understand in aggregate which pages are useful so we can improve them.
The inquiry form's consent covers being answered, not marketing: we do not add you to a marketing list because you wrote to us. We do not use your inquiries, messages or contact details to train AI models, and we do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you by automated means.
Why we are allowed to (legal bases)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests in running and securing the business and responding to people who contact us; steps taken at your request before entering a contract; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent, where we ask for it (for example analytics cookies), which you can withdraw at any time.
Cookies and browser storage
Two items are strictly necessary and are always on:
- theme: remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Kept until you clear your browser data.
- dacite-cookie-consent: remembers your choice below. Kept for up to 12 months.
Analytics are off until you turn them on. If you choose "Accept all" or enable "Analytics and performance," we load Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC. It sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_ followed by our property ID, which last up to 2 years) and sends usage data to Google, which processes it in the United States and elsewhere. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We keep analytics data for 14 months, we do not enable advertising features, and we do not share this data with Google for Google's own advertising or product purposes. If you reject analytics or your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the scripts never load. Change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer, and delete the cookies in your browser settings. Google's own information is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Fonts and other scripts are served from this site, so visiting it does not send your address to a font or script provider.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:

These providers act on our instructions under written terms, except the social platforms, which are independent from us. We also share information with professional advisers (lawyers, accountants, insurers) under confidentiality; with authorities when the law requires it or to protect rights, safety and security; and with a successor if DACITE or part of it is merged, sold or reorganised, with notice to you if your information is affected. Other portfolio brands don't receive your inquiry unless it concerns them.
International transfers
DACITE is based in the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where law requires a transfer mechanism, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the Data Privacy Framework, we rely on one with the provider concerned.

We keep information no longer than we need it, and sooner if you ask us to delete it, subject to the exceptions in our data deletion instructions.
Security
We treat browsers, third-party webhooks and imported content as untrusted. Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it and enforced by role and scope, with privileged access protected by multi-factor authentication. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, secrets are kept out of code and logs, and changes to systems that hold personal information are reviewed and recorded. The contact form is protected against automated abuse. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy, correct what is wrong, delete it, restrict or stop certain uses (including objecting to processing based on our legitimate interests), give you your information in a portable format, or withdraw consent you gave us.
Write to privacy@dacitebrands.com. To delete, follow the data deletion instructions. We will verify who you are, answer within 30 days (45 where the law allows an extension, and we'll tell you why), and will not charge you or treat you differently for asking. You can appoint an authorised agent; we will ask for proof of authority. If we refuse a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision. You may also complain to your regulator, such as the Indiana Attorney General or your own state's, or in Europe your data protection authority.
Regional notes
California and other U.S. states. In the past 12 months we collected identifiers (name, email, IP address), professional and commercial information (company, role, inquiry), internet activity (pages viewed, if you consented to analytics), and the content of your communications. We disclosed them to the service providers above for the purposes described. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. We honor Global Privacy Control and treat it as an opt-out of analytics.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland. Your rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, as above. Contact us at the address above for any request.
Children
This site is for business audiences and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
We link to portfolio brands, partners and social platforms we don't control. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the effective date and, if the change is material, say so prominently on the site or by email to people whose contact details we hold. Earlier versions are available on request.
